D. Maria Trimble began her love of fantasy when she read J. R. R. Tolkien’s  The Hobbit, and then of course, The Lord of the Rings – as did many fantasy readers. From there it was Terry Brooks’ Sword of Shannara and on to Anne McCaffrey’s Dragon Riders of Pern. 

 

Dragons – what better subject to write about? When she decided to try her hand at writing a novel, the topic was obvious. She’d been a student of dragonology for a long time. Creating a world of dragons and dragon riders was a no-brainer.

 

D. Maria lives in Carlsbad, California and spends her days as a graphic artist at a local print-and-mail company. Her evenings? Well, they’re filled with dragons.
